Our CEO and Founder, Dr. Vickie Perdue Scott, is a descendant of the original Ocmulgee American Indian Natives and Black Indigenous People of Color who occupied this land for thousands of years before the City of Macon was founded.
Macon is a city in Central Georgia that is home to the Ocmulgee National Monument that has rich Native American Heritage and earthen mounds that date from around 1000 A.D.
The Ocmulgee National Monument Museum displays artifacts spanning thousands of years. The Tubman Museum displays the artifacts of our African- American Art, History, and Culture.
Legacy Builders Foundation believes that all children and families from underserved groups can achieve high levels of spiritual, social, emotional, and personal development when fully informed and supported in regard to their talents and gifts. It is our goal to provide the Vision needed to fulfill the Mission.
Our founder and CEO of Legacy Builders Foundation Inc, Dr. Vickie Perdue Scott, a graduate of M.M. Burdell, Peter G. Appling and Northeast High School and a product of the Bibb County Public Schools, has firsthand knowledge of the lack of information typically provided to poor, urban children.
